CREDENTIALS
Q: Is the inspector a State of Nevada Certified Inspector of Structures ((IOS)? What other credentials does he hold?
A: Lloyd Gibbs is State of Nevada IOS #980-General. This is an advanced level of certification by the State of Nevada.
He is also a State of Nevada Approved Instructor. Lloyd is approved to teach pre-certification and continuing education home inspection courses.
In addition he has held dual contractors licenses in plumbing and carpentry and he holds a B.S. degree from California Polytechnic State University at Pomona.
EXPERIENCE
Q: How long has the inspector been certified and actively working as an inspector? What did they do before they became a home inspector?
A: Lloyd Gibbs has been a Certified Inspector of Structures since 2001 when he incorporated Lookin’ Good, Inc., Home Inspections. For 25 years he operated a plumbing contracting company here in Las Vegas, Gibbs Incorporated, Contractors.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Q: Does the inspector belong to a professional group that provides education and support of the State of Nevada Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics?
A: Lloyd Gibbs has been an active memeber of the Southern Nevada Association of Professional Property Inspectors (SNAPPI) since he became a certified IOS. He has been chairman of several projects, attends monthly meetings and is slated to teach a continuing education class for SNAPPI which will be available to members and non-members.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Q: When can I talk to the inspector? What if there is a problem?
A: Lloyd encourages the buyer to attend the inspection if at all possible. He is always willing to answer questions and explain the issues. If questions arrise after the inspection or the client is not in attendance, he is available most evenings between 7 PM and 8 PM to take your call.
